Corkman Denis Irwin played his last game for Manchester United against Charlton yesterday.
Irwin will join a smaller club, with Wolves the favourite to sign him.
He was United's longest serving player and United boss Alex Ferguson described him as his greatest ever signing.

How did Mick force his retirement?

Irwin would only have a chance at left back these days anyway with Carr & Finnan ahead of him at right back.

By telling him to prove himself etc., Irwin certainly felt forced out.

Kenna was captain for Birmingham last season.
