Cobh Ramblers striker Kieran O’Reilly has been named PFAI First Division Player of the Year for 2005.

O’Reilly helped himself to 17 league goals in the campaign to help Ramblers into a challenging position.

However, an untimely shoulder injury, which saw him sidelined for a month towards the end of the season, was sorely felt by the Cork side, who slipped just outside the promotion play-off spot by season end.

O’Reilly won the award ahead of Sligo Rovers goalkeeper John O’Hara and Kilkenny City captain Aidan Price.

and also made the team of the year.

well deserved i say!:D

It's brilliant that Kieran got player of the year in the league and gettin into the team of the year aswell was fantastic. But I cant help thinking about Mulconroy and Coleman surely these 2 players deserved a slot in the team of the year. This year (with an exception for Kieran) Ramblers players have been ignored.:ball:

I think that Mucky should have been listed in the team of the year he had a brilliant season..
Kieran got player of the year from the club, while obviously his contribution was fantastic I still think Mucky should have won it because a players temperment must also be considered along with dedication, skill, work rate etc...
