How do these awards work? What is the requirements based on? Code, style, content? I google them but never get much stuff on them?

I take insult to that Peadar. :) Everyone knows Spiderwebs are awarded to the people who agree to show up at the dinner/awards ceremony ;) Not really a big thing.

I asked what the criteria is :

Criteria
Judges will look for a site that is user friendly, functional, displays innovation, usefulness and has an ability to convey relevant information.

And you must be nominated on their website.

Congrats to the lads on the Golden Spider nomination.
Their work and site is streets ahead of anything any club in any sport is doing.

Sour Grapes anyone? :)

No, wouldn't necessarily agree. I am aware of someone who didn't book at table at the awards and was then informed that they wouldn't be in the fianl shakeup.

Sour Grapes anyone? :)

Just stating fact as they are known to me. no sour grapes. I have always talked about oter websites and praised the progress made across the board. Its like saying someone saying they think the Intertoto is a useless competition and then accusing them of sour grapes :) I don't even like grapes, sour or otherwise.
