Cosmo I'm not 100% sure about Setanta Ireland but ALL pubs over here get Setanta free if they have a dish obviously. It was given out free to try and get people to subscribe to it as nobody was taking it up.

Now I know if you subscribe to Setanta in your house you automatically get Setanta Ireland so I would assume that's the same situation for the pubs. I'll see if I can confirm that for you though.

Just texted a friend who owns a pub here, he still gets Setanta free but not Setanta Ireland. He can't think of any bar that might have it (but there's bound to be a few genuine Irish bars with it) but will let me know if finds anything out.

TBH I don't think you will find it. One bar I know in Edinburgh - Finnegan's wake, haven't been there for a while mind you, only go there if i am in edinburgh the day of any big GAA games/Ireland football/rugby games which they do show. I have never heard of anywhere in Edinburgh or Glasgow(which i think would be more inclined to show it) that show EL games. Only thing I suggest is email or call Finnegan's Wake in Edinburgh and ask them if they could possibly put it on (Expect them to say no) if there is no other big games on they might....

GOOD LUCK!

Finnegan's (http://www.nightb4.com/reviews/read/399.html?sid=72cb28a95da5e224319423154542707b)
also try Dropkick Murphy's (http://www.edinburghpubguide.co.uk/PubDetails/Dropkick_Murphys_197.html)

Would it not just be British matches that would be blocked because of rights issues?

If they're an irish bar, they better be showing irish football if they have it (and people ask to put it on) otherwise they can f**k right off and not call themselves an irish bar

'great city by the way, is it business or pleasure ur there for?'

Boozing - going over to another drog who posts on here (colin) - you'd think he'd start ringing around  :D

seriously cosmo, there have been times when Ireland international games have been on and i have went to 'Irish bars' in glasgow and they have been showing scotland and they wouldn't change it over. There are only a select few bars in glasgow and edinb that now show ireland and gaa(big) games but i think u will struggle to find EL.

I'm suprised that Colin doesn't know every Edinburgh bar like the back of his hand by now :D

Chasers over in Cowgate has Setanta. Was over there last weekend watching the Celtic match on Setanta.
