Well another season over and a disapointing one at that. Not to many highs i can think of but several lows thats for sure. The Setanta Cup was a great experience and we made some good friends from Glentoran and it's a shame that we have missed out on it but that's the way it goes. The less said about our trip to Carmarthen the better but needless to say it still hurts to think about it.Finishing 5th in the league is good but it could have been so much better and i think the most annoying thing about it all has been some of the performances. To much negativity in our approach and giving the ball away much to easy. It's a shame that Barry & Digger are off but that's football so i wish them all the best for the future and i look forward to seeing them in Flancare next season(on the losing side of course). We have the nucleus of a very good team so hopefully alan can build around our strenghts and we can progress in the league next season and another cup final would be nice.As the season is now over i hope that we can all persuade a few more souls to visit Flancare next season and get our crowds and atmosphere back because we are very lucky to have such a club on our doorstep.

Yep Wiseguy, so so season, but really because of how well we did in last year. Hard to know about atmosphere and how to get it going. Fair enough crowd won't be singing if were playing rubbish, but it should start in the crowd before the game. The difference last Friday when a bigger group of fans are together speaks for itself.

Didn't get to as many games as I would like this season (hope to rectify that next season).

Carmarthen was a nightmare, and I really don't know what to say. However, the more I'm hearing, the less I blame Matthews tbh. Wasn't online the tail end of last week, or over the weekend but wouldn't be surprised if the rumours were what got Cop on his ban, so I'll leave it there. Lets just say a fresh start maybe just what everyone needs.

On the season overall, it's only a disappointment because the expectation level was so high. Whether that expectation is realistic is another debate, but 5th place, ahead of full time Bohs and only a win behind full time drogs is certainly a good return imo. I can only agree that part of the dissappointment comes from the fact that we could've and perhaps should've got 4th as it panned out.

On the atmosphere and getting the crowds out - well I'm not surprised if people are talking in the pubs like they are on here. If someone dropped in here they'd swear we were worse than Harps. Whatever about moaning to the converted, any current non-believers should only hear the positives - and that goes for the ground too.

On attendances, perhaps the possibility of Friday football will be opened along with the new motorway, with 8pm kick off? Really until you find out why people aren't going it's hard to put forward a solution (and this year we had an okay home record). For me summer football makes it hard with the long hours of daylight to do other "important" stuff - I can't be the only one considering our rural catchment (and considering it's only a house and garden to distract me!).

An unmemorable season to say the least, not really a bad one but an unmemorable one.Very few highs, lots of lows.
The most irritating thing was some of the performances from the players especially over the last 2 or 3 months. Its very hard to watch a team for 90 mins just going through the motions.Looking forward to next season with the prospect of some under 21s coming up and i have taken some encouragement form our last few games.
Would also like to see the games changed to a friday night atleast for a trial period, attendances seriously need to improve and maybe running buses may be an idea.
As for the atmosphere,i dont have anything to say on it that i havnt said allready on this forum. The atmopshere has gone to **** and people love to complain about it but dont really want to do anything about it,rather wait for someone else to do it.We are not going to create a better atmosphere complaining about it on the net, people just simply need to stand together at matches and sing, that simple.Would love to see us get togehter and get something going but cant see it happen, its the same old people singing all the time. There doesnt seem to be anyone who is really interested in changing this that currently goes to matches, apart from the usuals so might just look for new blood first timers for next season.
