Brilliance, conincedence or loose interpretation, take your pick!

Would he have matched up to the 12th Man in the Predictions League though?
Think I'd be more into Chaos Theory.

Nostradamus couldn't have picked a winner in a fight between Mike Tyson and Ryan Tubridy.
A bunch of riddles that only 'make sense' in hindsight.
Rubbish!

The older I get the more inclined I am to lean towards what you're saying tiktok.
In some of Nostradamus' stuff there is an element of the same 'Barnham Theory' through which every chancer with "the gift", "the sight", a deck of cards and a cheap ball of glass or a Celtic Tarot Line makes a buck off the rank idiocy of the gullible.
There are though some remarkable co-incidences in there. The near guessing of Hitlers name (I believe he referred to him as Hister) is one -but those "predictions" could've been identified with hindsight by someone trying to make passages fit events.
Perhaps most spooky is the tale of the breast plate -which I've no reason to believe incidently as I don't think there's much proof these events took place -but the story goes that when his grave was desecrated during the French revolution the grave robbers found the body had a brass breastplate around it's neck bearing the date on which they were robbing the grave (july 1789) as opposed to the date on which he had died some 200 years earlier (1570-ish?).

Rar, rar, rar, only science is right, nothing that can't be scientificly explained makes sense, I drink gay drinks through gay straws... :D

Nostradamus predicted the end of the world and then continued making predictions for after that event, including several more end-of-the-worlds. At some point he has to loose credability.

it is generally considered that nos was a social commentator rather than a fortune predictor , because it was against the law to write bad stuff about the king etc he used to write in riddle's and as if it was the future .
basically if a king says hey you cant say that about me he says its not you its a king in the future .
nothing from his writtings has ever predicted anything ever .. its only after the event it loosely fits in .
( i was watching the history channel last night about him :D :D )

Book of Revelation/Apocalypse at the end of the Bible is like that. John couldn't write about Nero and the Roman authorities without getting into trouble, so wrote the stuff we have now. Trouble is that some people think it's about the future!

Eh..................don't think so.I reckon he'd struggle to get into the top 10:D
Im not convinced, I read a couple of books that interpreted his
predictions and they were all fairly badly explained, kinda like
Nosty: A great man will die in November
Interpreter: This is an obvious prediction of JFKs death
