Kevin Keegan publicly admitted after England lost to Germany that he wasn't equipped to manage at international level.

I managed to get a sneaky ton at 8/1 when I heard !

My mate when down 20 minutes later he got 3/1.

They were taking 7/4 before the booked closed early this afternoon.

I'd love it love it love it if he got it !

I'd have put more than €100 if I knew he was going to be manager. He's 3/1 on Betfair so there's something up.

Friend in the betting industry (works for an online shop) bet 320 on Keegan last night...

He's still available at Ladbrokes at 5/2. Not backing him though. Bookies are just starting another money making rumour

The FAIlure is still stalling. They would have announced him by now if they thought MoN wouldnt take the post

Keegan has as much chance of getting the job as Don Gawali the ex-coach of Nepal. Of the 2 Don would just shade it. Bookies have all their 2006 hollyers paid for by the punters (me included if Venables dosen't get the job. Have him at 10/1).

The latest info I have from a reliable source is that Steve Sampson of the L.A. Galaxy is being lined up. He just won the MLS Cup with the Galaxy and has previously managed the U.S team and got them to the World Cup. The F.A.I also want to leverage Sampson for the purposes of recruitment of 2nd and 3rd generation Irish in the U.S - the F.A.I feel they have lost out on some real good prospects over the past couple of years. You heard it here first...

If I understand that correctly, you backed TV at 10/1 not getting the job?

Lads you're all wasting your time. Its been a done deal behind closed doors for months. As quoted in Keane's book:

"Ah Basil Fawlty. He could manage Ireland"

Honest:D

Keyboarding under the infleunce Geysir! I have Venners at 10/1 (50 Euros)to become manager. I also backed MON at 28/1 when his priced dropped. Paddy Power intend to award me with a plaque for my many oneway contributions.

Two reasonable bets at comparativly good odds, whatever about keyboarding under the influence your gambles look more sober:)

I heard that Kevin "Woolhead" Keegan had a visit from a few of the FAI lads and Packie Bonner a few days ago. I dont really have an opinion on him other than i dont think he is a quality international manager but looks like Ireland will be left with some old has-been or some kid that couldnt manage a conversation never mind a team so is he the best out of the bunch

Sources, who are your sources? its usually much more interesting than the rumour.

The source is a friend of my da's who is a referee and has a friend in the FAI circle. Mind you he was a little drunk so he could well be a bad source

If Martin O'Neill can't do it, John Aldridge will get the job. I said it in the beginning and I continue to say it. I notice the odds have shortened on him now. Maybe the bookies have been reading what I've been saying :D

Kevin Keegan - give me a break:eek: . A friend of a friend of someone in the FAI - wouldn't hold up in Court.
