Heard a rumour on another site that David Pleat was seen in Dublin. His odds have dropped on paddypower.com. Any one hear anything about this?

God, you only have to be seen in Dublin and you're linked with the job. The reason Sheffield Wednesday are where they are is due to that plonker. A darling of the media but was a brutal and I mean brutal manager. Had the embarrassment of sitting in a Dublin pub with 4 or 5 other Wednesday supporters to watch the Wednesday on TV some years back only to see the Owls under his stewardship get stuffed 7-1 by mighty Blackburn. The sniggers of the other punters in the pub have stayed long in my memory.
If he gets the job, I'm following England.

Hey, just want to clear this up. I'm not touting Pleat for the job at all. He'd be a disaster. Just wondering whether anyone else had heard anything about this. He's 10-1 with paddypower.com!!!! Keegan is 12-1!!!!!

Not even the FAI would consider David Pleat, no need to panic Jones.

I saw him with "Lucy Loo" heading down towards Mount St to discuss tactics.

Hes a nob who has a column in four four two football magazine as well.I hope the FAI dont go after him.Its look like venables and staunton as his assistant are looking like the preferred option within the FAI. I just wish the FAI would sort its own house out the way they treat people and they way then run the EL domestic league in Ireland.

Yeah Pleat would be a disaster althought he did do a good job at Luton and then at Spurs in the 80's. But that was a long time ago. I reckon he would move the offices of the FAI to Leeson St though.
