Sod that!

You could rush/stroll towards the Jodi - citing congestion as the reason - Rovers would get fined as well ;) :D

Considering the importance of the match to Rovers that's not a great crowd. I guess that'll kill the chances of a decent crowd at Belfield next week.

Interesting night. Sorry to see Harps go down, always a good trip but they decided against spending money they did not have. Long term not too bad.

Fair play to Waterford, some turn around since Dolan came in and never gave them a chance. Rovers now in serious trouble and with Roddy in charge who knows what will happen. If Dublin City can over take Cobh it will be some play off :D

Sorry to see harps going down. Great team & great support. Part one of the play off's decided. Part two has a lot of work.

Better than they were getting last year...

Would like to see Cobh come up and show who the real No1 in Cork is but Seery v Roddy is tempting...

If only someohow Dublin could relegate Rovers without getting promotion...

Shels Cork was utter garbage, but we got the result we needed to get to give Derry the advantage should they beat Pats tomorrow, so I wont complain.

Shels/Cork match has chances few and far between but was a competitive and edgy contest. Fair result TBH. Cork don't look the same side we played a few months back.

You are right Shels vs Cork was garbage but Ndo totally shone, what a player!

Cork were very narrow and generally created little bar the odd time a Shels player made a woeful pass.

All eyes on Brandywell for total football and total atmosphere! :)

Dolan in tears in centre circle

The most two-faced man in Irish football strikes again. He must have been crying at relegating Harps as they are one of the teams he loves and fans he adores along with the other 21 clubs. Phoney *******

I thought he was awful. Other than the run he made in the first half and a few tackles he was as poor as anyone on the pitch, his passing was atrocious for the most part.

 Everyone around me in the bar was praising him and in my view quite rightly. He is an absolute power-house.

Another player deserving credit is Heary who was excellent when Gamble could have been one on one with the keeper.

Devine was good for Cork but apart from that I seen nothing to worry me.

Ndo was ****, he gave the ball away too many times, the only person who imo deserved motm was Hawkins who was great with last ditch tackles etc..

Why didn't they speak to Ndo when he got the man of the match award. Even a couple of words would have done, instead it was "well done Joe, now Owen tell us about the game..."

At the match I thought Ndo was poor, but watching the tape it was like watching a different player. A few missed passes yes, but plenty of good ones, it was his work rate that sealed it though. He worked his arse off and was throwing himself into tackles, winning the ball and stopping many Cork attacks as well as out muscleing anyone who tried to take him on. He also nearly got a sensational goal. It was more a Vieria style performance from him then the usual out and out play maker performance he puts in, but watching the tape I obviously missed alot at the game as I thought he was excellent and rightly got man of the match.

Hawkins was excellent too, as were Gamble and O'Callaghan for Cork.

Thought that was strange too.

Cork City must win now next week unless Pats get a result today. I'd fear for Cork trying to hang on for a draw anyways, so maybe it's just as well that our objective is clear.

I'm hoping for a Cobh - Rovers play off. A lot of City fans would make the trip down for the home leg. And Cork, Waterford and Cobh all in the premier next season? A lot of good derbies there!!

You'd think Joey being from Cameroon and so his first launguage being French may have been an issue, but he does speak fluent English. It seemed a bit daft not even asking him one question.
