This clip isn't as good as the Italia '90 one that I posted.
Not as many happy memories of a nation gone mad.

Still, a nice goal against Italy, and a win too as revenge for putting us
out of the competition in 1990.

Enjoy the clip, 29MB download.

Have a lamp of it here:

Unfortunately not, I'm not that good....

Reeling in the years on RTÉ 1, recorded on the SKY+ box,
and on to DVD from there, then ripped to the PC and uploaded to the web.

Anyone else having any problems when downloading it. I keep getting a message that the download is done then a funny little picture comes up on the left hand corner

Any chance of uploading the Lansdowne riot from '95? It was on Reeling in the Years last week, caught the end of it.

One of my favourite ever Irish players, John Sheridan. Could have built a passing game around him.

Was great to see Aldo so worked up. Damn FIFA officials.

That was a fantastic Dutch team who were cheated out of it against Brazil...just as they were cheated out of it again in 98...against Brazil.

All great, including the Italia 90 which is also on another thread:cool:

It's a double edged sword in that it lifts the spirits :D but then brings on the depression :( in large doses because we wonn't be going to Germany next year.

I don't know if that goal in 94 was offside at all. There's a case to be made either way.

I don't know how they were supposed to have been cheated in 1998. But they had cheated Argentina in the round before anyway (Van der Sar's play acting against Ortega) and Bergkamp should have been sent off (and therefore suspended against Argentina) for stamping in the Yugoslavia match.

What is Reeling in the Years? Is it just looking back at past sporting events or general footage of certain years?

Thanks a lot. I was there myself for the group games and while it went fred west after the Italian game it was still a brilliant time. Dublin airport the day before the Italian match was incredible. The match in Giants Stadium and that night in Manhattan is something i will never forget. I had the match recorded on RTE and ITV. I wish i had have kept the tapes now to look back on.
