I heard what may be an interesting story about our good friend Roddy Collins regarding last night.

But not sure if it's all true. maybe somebody can confirm????

I wasn't at the Pat's v Rvs match last night but i believe Roddy also wasn't

Instead then today i hear that he was spotted at the White Collar boxing, competing in the ring - apparently battering some fella.

Is this a joke or what ????
sounds completely ridiculous, a disgrace if it's true ... but with Rodney nothing would surprise me. Even Rovers fans don't deserve that

Oh the Irony... however a salutory lesson from history Ringo.
Roddy took Bohs to the play-off in his first season and then took them to dizzying heights from there.

Yep, was there doing First Aid duty. He was last into the ring against some lad who apparently took up fighting a few weeks ago and secured a highly dubious draw. In fairness, the event (or rather, the boxing part of the event - it was a Black Tie dinner with over 30 tables, in the middle of wihch was a boxing ring!) was due to start at 9:30, but didn't get going until after 10, which I presume was due to Roddy making his way out.

Best moment (apart from people entering the ring to Riverdance!!) was some big fat farmer lad, who was warming up in traditional pikey hat. He heads up to the ring blowing fire, with the PA blaring "You fat ba$tard" (re-write of Hi Ho Silver Lining, by Jeff Beck - if anyone knows where I can get the words, I'd be grateful! Can't find anything on google, but it sounded hilarious). He then makes a big show of struggling over the ropes and gets walloped in the fight!
