Valencia won the spanish title last night after a wait of 31 years with a 2-0 win away to Malaga. Anyone see the game? Remarkable incident just on half time- Valencia- leading 1-0 - scored a second, but the referee gave it as offside and was surrounded by Valencia players, after a few minutes of argument and discussion with his assistant, the ref changed his mind (tv picturs showed it WAS onside) and awarded the goal. He was then surrounded by Malaga players, who *asked* him to change his mind again. According to the commentator, the whole mess took nearly 8 mins to sort out, before play resumed! Why he didn't get his book out and threaten a few red cards eariler is beyond me. How can a ref hope to command players respect when he lets them treat him like that!

this really was a fantastic acheivment by valencia. two yyears ago they got to the champions league final and lost to real madrid .it would have been a brave man whowould have predicted that they would beat real to the league in two years time especiallyy if he had known that real would go on to buy arguably the worlds two finest players and that valencia would sell four of their best players( farinos, mendieta, claudio lopez and gerard)

well done valencia!:)
