Just a month after he lectured Wayne Rooney about his behaviour on the pitch, and told him, in his guise as England captain that he should never question or mimic the referee, Becksy got a big red one for Real last night..........for gesturing, questioning and giving ironic applause, just as Rooney did, to a referee.

Brilliant TV...:D :D

It was very harsh though.

It was very harsh though.I agree totally, but thats not the point. He lambasted Rooney for doing the very same thing, not a month ago, and keeps pontificating about how he's cleaned his act up as he's now England captain and has standards to set. This is simply so typical of the mutts intelligence.

I think a lot of that stuff that goes on in La Liga is stage managed. Real Madrid has gone to the dogs and hasnt been about football in a very long time.

David Beckham followed Wayne Rooney's example by being sent off for sarcastically applauding a referee as Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Valencia at the Bernabeu last night.

The England captain was shown two yellow cards in a matter of seconds as his side, who were already down to 10 players following the sending off of Thomas Gravesen, tried in vain to salvage a point.

Beckham complained at a decision by referee Arturo Dauden Ibanez for which he was booked and moments later was shown a second yellow and consequent red card for applauding the referee.

His England team-mate Rooney was dismissed in similar circumstances during Manchester United's Champions League game against Villarreal last month.

Last night, Zinedine Zidane missed a penalty for Real before Valencia took the lead through a Ruben Baraja free-kick before half-time.

Raul levelled for Madrid but the visitors were awarded a penalty and David Villa converted from the spot.

Beckham and Gravesen will now be suspended for Wednesday's match at Deportivo La Coruna.

Beckham is a hypocrite over that Rooney episode. Anyhow, we had Sindy dolls, we have Barbie and Ken dolls and now will we have Becks and Posh dolls entering the Christmas market?
