tecnically Miller can hit the ball very well and can make some good passes and also score goals.

The rest of his game is highly suspect though. He shys away from taking midfield by the balls and controlling the game. He rarely makes tackles, he never organises anything and is passive most of the time.

I cant see him improving on these points because of his passive intraverted personality.

Forlan couldn't finish, had zero composure, etc, etc...

As players who had a lot of promise with smaller clubs, then sank without trace trying to replace for superiors players at United (Sheringham/Cole/Yorke for Forlan, Keane for Miller) yes there is a comparison
I only hope Miller goes on to be as big a success after leaving United as Forlan

Forlan's form at United was down to confidence. I knew he'd do well at Villarreal. Miller's problem at Man U is down to confidence too. Maybe he'll never reach his full potential because of it but one manager said a few weeks ago that confidence makes up 90% of the player.

i dont think its to do with confidence.. i think its more his personality and lack of important abilities of a midfielder. He can do it at Man Utd Reserves, Celtic, and probably at Leeds. That for me says he like clinton morrison can play in the english cola league but not the EPL.

To be fair to Miller he really hasn't been given a good chance at united. Hopefully he'll get a go at Leeds. Must say he gets a hard time on this forum that is not entirely deserved. So he's not a midfield general at United ? So he made a big money move ? United is full of decent players surplus to requirements. Thats the way of football these days. Buy them up before someone else does.

One or two decent games for Leeds will have us all crying out for Miller (see McGeady, Stephen Ireland, McPhail, O'Brian at Bolton etc).
