Our fine under 21 side lost this sunday 3 2 to Finn Harps in BallyB. Limerick hit the net twice in the first ten mins but LOCAL officials ruled both out for offsides (this dispite one being a 35 yard direct free kick) Harps went ahead but two from Chirst Jones put the limerick side back in front. Harps pilled on the pressure and equalized to put the game into extra time. With 7 mins to go liam costello fouled and a peno to harps was converted. This year the officials challenged Limerick in several games, cork where we won, kerry where we won but finally they won out today. I have to ask is there any point in entering this comp if any time we get an away game local officials will try and fix the game to suit the home side. And before you say it this does not happen in limerick, if you know your football history the relationship between the local league where the officials come from and senior soccer you'll know that it would be impossible for limerick to have a ref pulling in their favour. So just like to say well done to the only non prem under 21 team for qualifing and say this FIX of a comp should be scrapped.

I wasn't at the game yesterday, but by all accounts it was a cracker. Just to point out- Harps have won our section for the last 3 years in a row and have a very good U21 set-up. It seems Limerick are good team and were unlucky but they did lose to a good team at this level.
