Folks I've tried to get this answer from RTE themselves but as of yet have had no reply.

Up here in the darkest blackest North of Ireland we can receive RTE through the Sky Digital network, however when RTE are showing English Premiership footy or Champions League footy the signal is scrambled, therfore all we get is a blue screen.

Can anyone tell me if this is the same for this weekends cup ties???

When TG4 showed the earlier round versus Shelbourne it was on the digital network so I hoping this will be the same.

Cheers

Should be no problem since there's no conflict of broadcasting rights for the Carlsberg FAI Senior Cup.

I'm 99.999999999999% sure that you will be able to view these matches through RTE on Sky

Because it's about 25 miles away and I fancy a few pints.

Not seen any RTE ads for the games yet. Why do they never publicise eL games when ratings have been solid this year.

I guess they have their audience and know that they'll already be aware of the fixture so they don't "waste" money on advertising.

Don't know much about these things and could be totally wrong but do they not scramble it through the telephone connection?
ie if ya plug the phone line out before the Premiership matches they mightn't be able to scramble it?
