View Full Version : New signing

Patrick Dunne

GUFC have made a new signing. A fee was agreed earlier today. The signing will not be available for Friday nights game but will be unveiled to the fans at our weekly Lotto draw on Sunday night. The draw will be held in Fibber Magees, for a jackpot of E7,400.

Our new capture was previously based in the Dublin region. This addition to the club has been described to me by GUST chairman Ronan Coleman as "totally reliable, week in, week out. Doesn't talk back, will never be suspended. Has balls".

Its thought that the new signing will replace a local product, who will be placed on the scrapheap. Our newcomer is set to make an immediate impact.

Unfortunately, I can't reveal any more details. Come to Fibbers on Sunday night !

Isn't the transfer window closed?

Patrick Dunne
18/10/2005, 5:44 PM
.. the transfer window is normally closed at weekends, bank holidays, etc., and outside office hours. When we made the signing the window was open.

Its closed now.
Edit : The newcomer has arrived, early. Very professional. Has already been given a trial. Looking forward to Sunday night.

I have a feeling thats its not a player at all, its a gimmick to get ppl to fibbers for the lotto, Its probably some sort of mascot by my reckoning.Something along that lines.

Very crafy indeed. Has ronan coleman been the chairman long then?

did he go to castlebar IT then many moons ago?

Patrick Dunne
21/10/2005, 12:19 PM
.. called Ronan Quinn went to Castlebar IT, and helped set up a Mayo GUFC supporters club, which seems to have died away.

Ronan Coleman was in NUIG once. He got in through a skylight and had taken two computers before he was caught.
