View Full Version : Paul McNally and Stuart Byrne
The word in todays Sun newspaper was that Stuart 'he's everywhere' Byrne and Paul McNally have joined Bohs.. It's a shame really and a bit of a surprize that we've lost these players to Bohs. Stephen Kenny and Macca fell out at the start of the season over money, I expected them to leave but the worrying aspect is how does Longford Town replace such quality... We have a right old battle to stay up next year.....

surely there's plenty of it around. It's dangerous to get too used or dependent on specific players no matter how good they are. Obviously u want to keep a certain 'faithful' group in the team but when it comes down to it, almost every player will at least consider a transfer offer. So it makes sense to keep a keen eye on the talent around elsewhere and do to other teams what they are doing to us - snatch THEIR players.

Stuey has signed for Shels and Maccer for Bohs. Its on the Town website. Vinny has signed a new contract and Aaron Callaghan has arrived as first team coach. pity about the two boys but we'll just have to find replacements. Rumours are goin around about the Town signin Owen Heary, don't know if theres any truth in it. Kedy is a target too but he's waitin on Rovers apparently..

Shay Zellor has signed for Kildare and they're after Keith O' Connor too. Lots of players heading out but who's going to replace them??
Apparently mumbles was told he wouldn't be featuring in Lawlors plans, and to be honest much as I like the guy he never got the goals in the premier division........
Stuey and Macca are big losses, and I have to say I'm disappointed in the pair of them....... I know that they gave a lot to the club, but De Town also did a lot from them in terms of profile and exposure - sad to see them exploit that for their own gain esp. Stuey taking Ollie's filthy lucre......
So id Reynolds a lemon? from reading your post guys i wonder have we signed a crap player or what?
Rennie can be a decent player, when he's not suspended....... He got himself too many stupid bookings/sendings - typified by the fookin stupid sending off in the play off second leg which could've cost us our place in the premier - you're welcome to him.....
we are missing a bit of bite in the middle of the park since Kelvi Flanagan left so i hope he is committed alright.......
Thing is, he picks up the majority of his bookings for back chat to the ref........ that's not bite, it's just plain silly......
we.. if you put it that way......i'm sure he'll be put in his place if he starts that.
Do you think he wasn't told over and over again at Longford....... I think your just being silly now...... I'll have to get Mr T on your case, again LOL ;)

Strange days indeed,
heard a possibility of Avery John being tracked, sounds a little more realistic than Owen Heary. Where in the name of God did that come from?
As for the two lads heading to Kildare, there bound to be a success in the first division, pity they couldnt rise to the challange of the Premier, but honest lads who gave it their all while they were here.
