Dundalk draw leaves Vikings adrift
Dublin City's hopes of promotion from the first division were again hit on Saturday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dundalk in Whitehall.
Dundalk keeper Aaran Shanahan was forced to touch the ball onto his own crossbar in the dying moments of the first half as City threatened from Robbie Hedderman's long range effort.
The deadlock was broken on 77 minutes. Alan Keely's run and long range shot to the back of the net looked like grabbing a late win for the Vikings.
