Ill just give the ratings.
Mooney 6
Wolfe 4
Tobin 4 (inj rep by costello 5 rep by Corbett 6)
Finnucane 3
Buckley 4
Keating 2
Barrett 5
McGrath 7
Jones 4 (rep guiren 4)
Nolan 4
Kelliher 7
Jones, Gurien, Barrett, McGrath, corbett all played out of position. Goals conceaded were childish and plan A (long ball) didnt work so we had no plan after that. Robbie scored a screamer! With two more defeats prob to come against Dundalk and Galway at the least i do belive our season is over :o

Where was Barrett played? I presume Jones played out left? The surprising thing is the reliance on U-21 players (Jones, Corbett, Guerin and Costello) just as the season gets to the business end. If we were short of left sided cover or players I woul dhave expected Kupec to make the step up rather than an out of position and lightweight Jones. :ball:

Kupec is far too cultured for our current set up. Barrett was centre midfield next to McGrath they both did well when called upon but spent most of the game watching the ball sail over their heads  Noel Mooney was worthy of far more than a 6 IMO, Blameless for the three goals and pulled off some brilliant saves. Eoin Keating also had a pretty inexplicable absolute shocker.
Robbies goal was absolutely brilliant, fired in to the top corner from the bones of thirty yards after he'd beaten three players. In fairness to Jamie Nolan (credit where its due) I remember him tracking back and making one absolutely crunching tackle when it looked like Kilkenny were once again through. His work rate still wasn't near Robbie's but then it was never going to be :ball:
All in all a very depressing night though, Shane Guerin on the left wing, WTF was that about

I agree, Mooney was worth more than a 6 in relation to the ratings given by Gael353 also, just a point of interest, Tobin wasn't even on the field so it's amazing how he was given a rating. He was sidelined with a knee injury and wasn't even on the panel for the game. It was a disappointing result all the same.
