Why is it that none of them seem to put anything back into football? They all obcessed with being pundits & writting for the media...

In other countries players return from abroad & play last couple of years in National League while introducing themselves to coaching etc...

I'm not going to name the pundits but surely they have something to give back considering the national team did a lot for them by getting better transfers & contracts etc...

If you're on about the likes of Houghton and Aldo what do people expect? They knew fcuk all about the country to begin with.

Must be something in the cofee that Jack's assistant gave them. Nearly his entire team are bloody pundits. Stapleton, Moran, Quinn, Aldridge, Houghton, Sheedy, Townsend, Whelan, Cascarino...

But they still making their living off this country by being irish pundits.

Hows about some irish oldies getting involved in the FAI technical plan or some sort of proper coaching?

FFS the Norwegian National team gave a good portion of their payments for World Cup advertising to develop their national league. What chance some selfless gestures by former or even current irish players?

I'm not arguing there. All I'm saying is that I'm not surprised. It would be far more likely for one on the former pros like Staunton to return to play in the league that they started off in. Instead he's wasting his time in Walsall or somewhere. If anything else it would be a ood advertisement for the league.
