Seem to recall about 20 years ago Athlone Town I believe went unbeaten for the best part of the season until I think Shelbourne beat them 2-0 in maybe the second last match.

Dont have the facts to prove this but it is in my head for some reason.

Might be right or wrong.

in 89 drogs were unbeaten until last day of the season in div 1. (finn harps beat us with a penalty 5 mins from time!)

with a few weeks to go there was an article in the programme which sai rovers twice went unbeaten for an entire season, sometime back around 1930

Rovers were unbeaten in the league in both the 1924/25 and 1926/27 seasons. We drew 5 games in '24 and just 4 in '26!

But were you on an unbeaten run across ALL competitions ?

Possibly in 1924/5, as you also won the cup in 1925, but not in 1926/7.

Anyways Amarach - this talk of unbeaten runs is only gonna jinx us for Friday night !

Not sure, but we won the League Cup in '24/25 as well, so I'm going to guess so. Unfortunately I wasn't a season ticket holder back then so can't account for every single game we played.;)

And then bowez call themselves "the big club" :D :D :D

Not at all, Steve. You're on an fantastic run and there isn't a team on the planet who can beat you! You'll just keep on winning forever! :D

Ballymena beat us on Monday night.

The run is over. We may never win again, for if Ballymena can beat us, who can't?

In fact, I would give the trophy to Cork at this stage as Rico has probably been on the phone to Tommy Wright to find out how they did it.

They must have locked Farren in the dressing room. :D

Rovers went unbeaten throught the season twice
and in 85 or 86 went all the way through until the last game of the season
when they were robbed blind in a packed Oriel by Dundalk

Correct Hoops1, but was kinda trying to play that one down. ;)
It was the '86/87 season.
