I'm in Darwin at the moment, and there is nothing in this town at all! I definately wont get to see the game Wednesday, and whats worse is knowing I wont. I got to see some of the England game on ESPN on Saturday night, but they were showing Portugal v Liechenstein after, and besides which, all the pubs close at 2am and there's an 8 and half hour time difference so it would make no difference if they were showing it. I had to ring a copuple of mates every so often from about 2.30am on saturday night to get updates on the Cyprus game.

There is no 24 hour internet places either, and first one that opens is 6am, so all I can do is get up then and catch the last couple of minutes on rte.ie. Some disaster. I hadnt missed attending any of the qualifying games this campaign up until I left in February, and then after that I was still able to see them on TV wherever I was (Buenos Aires, Perth) but the biggest one of the campaign and I'll miss it. Well, if we get to the playoffs at leat I know I'll be in Melbourne, so I'd catch it there. Here's hoping, and to the right result Wednesday. Make sure there's an extra load roar for those of us who cant be there! And think of those of us who wont know what the hell is going on either!

In Sydney kick-off is 02:45am. Do you know anywhere in Melbourne that would show it at that time? The only place I can think of is the Casino, but then it would depend on what other games were being shown.

I don't know anywhere in Sydney but I have to be in work Thursday morning anyway. I'll probably check on the net about 6.00am too!
