Excellent news! With any luck Elliott will break his duck against the Cypriots and Switzerland win 1-0 witha sneaky last minute penalty after Boumsong decapitates Frei in the area, ruling him out of the Wednesday game!!

If Elliott and Keane do well together it could give Kerr a big headache for the Swiss game.

Bit hard for the man who scored a beauties against Portugal and the Cameroon.

Yes, only decision is between S Reid (if fit) and Finnan. Hope he goes for the former as gives us better options going forward.

Then he should stick with them imo, leave Clinton on the bench or maybe use the 3 of them up front.

Big difference between Cyprus & Switzerland. Elliot looked good against Faroes but not shown anything against higher quality opposition.

This just highlights the lack of quality in the squad

In fairness both players are in good form at the moment, Kavanagh in particular.

How could you justify picking Kilbane at the moment? I've always liked the guy but hes a confidence player and having an absolute mare for both us and his club-remember France at home? Surely our worst player on the pitch that day.

Gotta put Stephen Reid in there, though he may have a knock

He did well against Croatia, Italy and whoever else in friendlies and is doing well this season in the premiership. atm I'd go for Morrison to start against the Swiss but if Elliott scores 2 or 3 on Saturday my view may change.

Unless Kenny Cunnighham - our captain - is injured you are incorrect.
There is no way Kenny will not start.

It will be
Given
Carr Cunningham Dunne O Shea

No Kenny has 1 yellow along with Carr & Duffer. He is definitely eligeble for tomorrow.
