Nervous that even if we beat Cyprus we might miss lose some players if they get yellow cards. I know Duff is on one. He must avoid another yellow at all costs.

Anyone else ?

According to the Indo Duff is useless when he dons the green jersey in a competitive match so it shouldn't really matter. The only man who can save us is the new Roy Keane who won't play for Ireland until we get another English manager.

He'll be waiting. It's 9 years since we last had an English manager.

I thought he had an Irish passport which made him Irish, with his father being from Tallow, County Waterford.

Not too many Englishmen cry when Ireland lost to Belgium in the play offs. McCarthy (well known English name) did.

Perhaps we should adopt the Nazi aryan standards and go back 7 generations of pure Irish blood (does contamination by Norman blood rule you out from being Irish 'cause then I'm a gonner) before you can call yourself Irish ?

If I may paraphrase a quote from the man himself" My father taught me how to play hurling. I was the only hurler my age in Barnsley" Mick's Irish credentials are impeccable. You obviously never saw him play in a green shirt!

Ok.. Any Germans with Irish in them , which would give us organised midfielders. Any Italians with Irish in them or Irish with Italian in them should give us sh1t kicking teak tough defenders..:p
