Friday' night's match against Derry City was the final game of that ban but reports suggest Fenlon approached referee Ian Stokes in the dressing room area immediately following the game.

http://foot.ie/showpost.php?p=347518&postcount=25

Pat Fenlon (Manager, Shelbourne) suspended for FOUR (4) competitive matches, fined €1,000 and severely warned as to his future conduct as a result of being removed from the technical area by the referee v Drogheda United (08.08.05). For this four match suspension, Mr Fenlon is to remain at least 50 metres away from the dressing room, technical area and pitch for at least two hours before the matches as well as during the matches and for one hour after the matches.

Would Shels & the referee still be in the ground 1 hour after the game?

What would be appropriate punishment is found guilty?

Much extended ban, and one hell of a fine.

I didn't see it myself but apparently he was on the pitch after the match trying to confront him, and definately confronted him in the dressing room area immediately after the game.

I would say another few members of the backroom staff may receive bans or fines as well

This kind of thing takes away from "strides for professionalism" of the last while.

Sigh. What did he expect? The ref to turn around and say"Oh dear chap, you are most certainly correct. I shall add 2 goals to your final score immediately forthwith. Toodles timmy" ?

On the pitch seems to be clear breech of the ban. Recently comments from the League threatening supporters & clubs will mea nothing if Fenlon not punished properly.

Points deduction would not be fair but at a minimum think hes due 2-3k fine & 8 match ban.

If i was Fenlons employer i'd be furious but Ollie probably didn't see as he should have been serving a ban too ;)

Fenlon was on the pitch at the end of the game on Friday night, he came over to the Shels fans in order to give them a clap.
He tried to hide under a silly hat, but it didn't work:eek:

He took the hat off as he walked away did he not? :p

What a fool! What did he expect? It was just stupid of him to be on the pitch and then go up to the ref. Silly, silly boy!

I think he'll have to be banned from stadiums on matchdays or else prevented from travelling with the team as he clearly can't control himself. Passion is good but needs to show example to players.

What were they were moaning about now? (besides the fact that Stokes didn't ensure they won the game)

Nothing was ever done about Fenlon breaking his ban against Bohs at Dalyer or Eamon Collins at the start of the season!!

It was never announced but think he got off on technicality because of wording in ban. He won't be able to use that excuse this time.

When the league is threatening supporters for almost any action these days will have to show example by coming down hard on a manager.

It's time to get tough.

I won't be happy unless he is "severely warned as to his future conduct."

That'll learn him.

Fenlon approached referee Ian Stokes in the dressing room area after the game despite the terms of his ban prohibiting him from being anywhere near the dressing rooms, the pitch or the dug out from one hour before kick off to one hour after kick off.

looks like another technicality lads, one hour after kick off would be around the start of the second half!!!! :D

No doubt the eL will investigate at disciplinary committee. Maybe shelsweb have the referees confidential report again?

Perhaps, but given Stokes performance how could you read a copy in braille if it was scanned in?:D
