Huge weekend for Bohs and Pats if either could manage 6 points this weekend it would be massive for European places.
I assume Rovers will still be without Pico and LEe Grace and with Celje next Thursday and the league done and dusted id predict limited time for Burke , Mandroiu , Watts, so PAts could pick up 3 there.
Galway need the points badly so will be all guns blazing to beat Bohs. Depending on how Friday goes Mondays 6 pointer becomes even bigger.
Id expect Waterford to get something off Derry which means no matter what happens we will win the league.

Effectivly a play off between Wexford and Treaty for whpo makes the playoffs in the First Division and not a lot else to play for in any of the matches although if Longford beat Athlone that will be 5 wins in a row to finish the season, if they can hang on to most of then next season might have promise

With 3 of Pats 4 games being Dublin derbies, coupled with the fact that they’ve only won 1 of them all season, my hopes of getting European football are on the floor to be honest. It’s a very very unlikely scenario to come to pass that they’d win both games this coming weekend

After away to Galway tommorow Bohs last 3 games are Pats, Shels and Drogs.
Its really up to whoever can step up and win a couple of games

56 points is likely to be the magic number to make the top 4.

Derry already being on 54 should mean they’re more or less home and hosed (although with different stages of Europe depending on the league finish, they along with everyone else will be going hell for leather to the final game regardless). Bohs would need 6 points from an available 12 which is certainly doable, Shels would need at least 4 points from 9 which I see them getting. Drogs will likely need 9 out of 9 which, although fixtures may be favourable, I don’t see them getting. That means Pats would need 10 out of 12 which they haven’t a hope of getting realistically

Huge weekend for Wexford and Treaty if either can secure the result needed this weekend, it would be massive to secure the 5th play-off position on the final game.

Wexford need to win while Treaty know a draw will do as they have a +1 goal difference to Wexford's -7. While both teams know that a 5th place finish will probably be away to 2nd place Cobh in the Play-off semi-final next week.

Cobh will now look for a good result and performance against Dundalk to keep the form going.

UCD can take the 3rd position if Bray fail to win on goal difference and take the 3rd position and a the home fixture in the 3rd v 4th play-off semi-final.

So Cobh, Bray, UCD, Treaty & Wexford have plenty to consider. It will be interesting to see how the teams perform.

End of the season evening already for those above and below the FD playoff places. The off season is too long. 4 months.
Wexford v Treaty the standout game for the final playoff spot. Bray haven't guaranteed third spot. Will only determine whether Bray or UCD are home for the second leg.

There's a argument for Cobh, Bray and UCD wrappig key players up, avoiding suspensions. It would be a blow to Cobh especially not to at minimum be in the play-off final. But I fully expect UCD to do their usual out of nowhere thing.

Not a single nothing game in the PD. Drogheda arguably should best Cork with relegation confirmed and Cork minds on the cup final. Wouldnt like to call money on any but Sligo win I think. Galway could, you cant rely on Derry so it could be as you were for relegation play-off. Huge weekend for St Pats and maybe SK. If they were to lose both games....

After seeing our team sheet, I might agree.
We've no forwards available for this match. Wonder will it be Duffy, Whyte or even O'Reilly up front. Of course, there's always the option Roddy Collins went for the odd time, which was to play no-one up front.

I'd fancy yourselves to beat Pat's, who just seen all over the place ATM.

Wexford-Treaty will be such a nervy game. Would be watching that one if I was neutral.

17-year-old Billy O'Neill with four goals and a red card for Bray tonight.

UCD's keeper sent off too - so I guess both will miss the UCD v Bray game(s) next week?

Some great results for the neutrals to ramp up things up even further going in to the last couple of weekends.

Pathetic performance in Galway tonight. Europe gone in my view. Pat’s, Shels and Drogs will look forward to playing us.

Pats were good tonight, more the kind of SK stamp. It was pretty well closed out 2nd half bar that almost attempt by Burke, would have been pure class if it hadnt drifted wide. A lot of work to do by Pats to have any hope of Europe still, games in hand are a fools points. That Galway Waterford last day safety clash still looking very possible. Galway have rediscovered that awkward hard to beat nature, form at the right time even if they do end up in the play-off. Sligo I kind of expected to get a resul tonight so not on as solid a ru as maybe thought. Waterford are still the ones that are fighting to break out of a rut and the only ones that you could see getting a shock in a play-off. GD making a significant difference this season, leaves Waterford very uncomfortable and makes Rovers not have to be too bothered by any results in the run in - about as relaxed as you can get when playing 2nd spot to potentially leave only 3 in it.

Five wins in a row to finish the season for LTFC. Been a while since we did that. A word of sympathy for the Athlone commentator who made a good attempt at sounding like he didn't want to jump off the stand. Must have been a long old season for him.

Very composed performance by Treaty to seal the final promotion playoff spot.

Pats were good but we were awful. Still probably had the better clear cut chances particularly in the second half, albeit pats dominated most of it, just couldn't get on the end of things. Anang made a wonder save and Gaffney should have scored. We are doing our best to win the league by gd and keep bohs sweating on our cup final. We are a shadow of ourselves without Honohan, Grant, Pico and Grace though so a lot depends on them coming back. Grace came on tonight but it was probably rushed. Europe will be a slog.

Ahhh poor things! all those games travelling to interesting places while clubs making money:D

Was thinking earlier about Lopes (and Anang?) being away for maybe 6 weeks during WC next Summer. There will be a break of some sorts but not the full time players could be away. Need to find a 2nd squad player that will be called up just to see how the FAI manage manage, refixtures and with a good chace of Euopean groups for Rovers. Season could be exta front weighted. Slow starts title challenges and trying to avoid relegation can be undone early. Could benefit clubs that miss out on Europe over the next couple of weeks in the longer run. Bohs will really not want to miss out financially, Drogs and Shels to a lesser extent maybe but St Pats could carry missing out and take an advantage in a title tilt. Big quads and costly signings will be needed which will squeeze us relegation fodder, 10th wont hang in as long as Cork managed this season.
