Grattan charging entry fee for today’s game, for an AUL game, utter nonsense

And they got 100 grand to do up pitch 🤣🤣🤣probably charging so people won’t see how good Casey is for free

That’s a joke alright AUL game and charging , but if you don’t have it they won’t tell you no it’s more of a donation for there outing next week
Also Casey worth paying the 2 euro if you ask me

It will take more than 100k to fix this Pitch. Its deff up there as one of the worst around.

Yes, it is, and it's always a battle up there, looking like a draw this game, not much in it.

It was never a 5-1 game , referee made 2 howler mistakes when Casey was over 4 yards offside even he stopped waiting for the whistle to make it 2-1 , heads dropped mark murphy then scored from an offside position to make it 3-1 and killed the game completely was a good game to watch up untill 3-1.
12 men against 11 is hard to beat in my eyes.

At the end of the day coachford got the points and that’s all that counts, regardless of the ref decisions all that matters is the result, we put it up to them and on another day would of scored 3 but that’s football and s**t happens.. up to Clare next week for the gratts any games on tomorrow or has the weather taken them aswell

You wouldn’t need to be a wizard to guess they would play against grattan everyone knew deep down , Alan mc ruined the game and coachford were obviously the better team there the best junior team in Munster but at 1 all to not call that offside was an absolute kick in the teeth

09/11/2025, 11:52 AM
You can’t blame one call from Ref in all fairness ye done well first half tbf but coachford always looked like they had another gear

Best of luck to aghabologue sunday but Jesus If the boys who are playing the Gaa Sunday play against grattan Saturday they will find it hard to get out of bed Sunday morning
It’s an all or nothing game for grattan and If they don’t take the 3 points there taking away the Munster semi final away from Aghabologue
Big risks going up there for them boys with such a big game on Sunday
Fair to say you got all of this wrong Ref!!

Fruice your right , it’s hard to play with a man down for 90 mins.
Credit to coahcford on winning the league again this year.
Also very nice bunch of young fellas with great attitude

You would think home team’s will have their house in order for Munster games with an Astro booked at this time of the year.
Be fair foolish not to have one sorted!!

Carrigaline v coachford on Friday has the makings of a great game. Hard to bet against coachford in any game these days.

That should be a routine win for Coachford, a far inferior village team to this Coachford team absolutely battered them last year, 3/4-0 if I’m remembering correctly

Carrigaline are much stronger this season so I think it will be competitive. It’s some going by the coachford lads, you would wonder how that aren’t burnt out with the gaa on top of the ball.

To be honest it’s an unbelievable what they are doing to be bringing that level of success to a community across all sports is frightening.
And all teams at a decent level.
Watergrasshill tried to do it and their team ended back up in the 3rd division.
It must take some level of organisation and communication to keep it all going so well.

Think for them it’s important gaa manager understands that that lads like to play soccer to and it’s works for them most norrie gaa clubs dictate to player either Gaa or soccer and that why you don’t see some excellent soccer players in the northside play cause they stay playing Gaa

No need to worry about fitness either.
Ballwasthere
12/11/2025, 8:48 PM
Agree with all points made, there could be some real strong teams in the north side if gaa managers were more accommodating, even the hill lads could give them a bit of leeway and there’d be another decent premier side there, coachford, people can hate them if they want, I think that batch of lads are a credit to their area, they’ve produced what is basically a Munster senior league level side if we’re being honest on top of being a great football and hurling team

Fixtures out for next weekend and I would like ye to take a minute and scroll up to the Ref post yesterday is it just a coincidence that I called it that coachford would be playing sat and not sun over gaa good Aul making it look like their doing no favours cause they put um down to play handy game sat hahaha 😝 shout away lads tell me ye see nothing wrong with it that’s it just the way the draw fell hahaha

Back to back away games up the north side is a favour? A favour would be city wanderers on the Friday night maybe. As was said earlier it’s great when gaa and soccer clubs work together for the good of the community and players so even if the AUL did them a favour with an away fixture on the Saturday wouldn’t that be a good thing? You’re hardly psychic sally for predicting they would have a game on the Saturday 🤦🏻

Embarrassing thinking that's a favour. Howany other teams would the league have if GAA and soccer could work together.

Call it trash talk all day but surely lads or not that stupid as you said latte tough northside fixture last week away so they should be at home this week but Aul can’t give um home game cause they won’t be able to field a team sun so to make it look like there’s no favours we’ll send um up to castleview sat for a handy 5 goals win wake up lads if they win gaa game sun they’ll have another away game following week come end of season they’ll have nothing but home games to win league playing teams that have nothing to play for if I was castleview I tell aul pitch is unplayable next week and tell Aul their happy to let coachford have game and play sun I wonder how that would work out but what do I know…..
Ballwasthere
14/11/2025, 5:36 PM
They’re going to win the league regardless harsh, everyone and their uncle knew that before the season even started, I don’t understand why you think they need favours when they don’t, if you put the strongest 11 from knocka grattan castleview and village together coachford would probably still beat them
Harsh ref
14/11/2025, 7:08 PM
I get your point Ball but if they were. down to play home games the day they had gaa games then league be total different story as we seen with Donoughmore haven’t to give Grattan two walkovers just my opinion

Last week Knocka lads working with me said they booked Grattan pitch for Tralee game cause their showers wouldn’t be connected up for me good move keep it close to home then yesterday he said they changed it to mayfield grass pitch which I found wired now sitting down for dinner he said their probably playing on all weathers for me as I said to lad half hour ago bad bad move for me surely knocknaheeny won’t match Kerry lads for fitness for me norries could get flaked
Ballwasthere
14/11/2025, 11:27 PM
I’d agree with the smaller the pitch the better for them, but they wouldn’t have Grattans raw physicality to make the most of their pitch, it’s up their with the worst in cork IMO, they could do with using mayfield grass pitch it’s quite small compared to the Astro up there

Does a team have to play and win games on a day that doesn't suit them before they're considered a.good team? Every team in the league has a day they'd prefer to play and other days they'd struggle. It doesn't mean they are getting an advantage. If you'd rather coachford left the league you'd then moan about there being no good teams.

100% forward. And yes I’m sure they are onto the AUL saying can we play Saturday as opposed to Sunday on certain weeks it’s called being organised.
They will still play the same amount of league games as everyone else.
Last night was their 11th game of the season I’d be fairly confident no other team in the AUL has that many games played yet this season.
They had a nice few squad players playing last night and still got a big win it’s some going.

Firstly Coachford 100% aren’t my team I promise you that.
And I’ve said all along that they must be in contact with the AUL about trying to organise fixtures.
They have there house in order on and off the field.
They are a proper club.
But no one can say they are hiding in the long grass waiting for the business end of the GAA season to finish.
They are out playing more than anyone!!!

You hit the nail on the head there fruice, they have their house in order and that’s something a lot of other clubs should learn.
It’s incredible what they are doing playing that many games already on top of the gaa. Instead of moaning about coachford other clubs should be applauding them and taking notes on how to run a club. We are lucky to have them in the AUL representing cork and the league.

Arc Rovers beat Premier Castleview this morning. They beat City Wanderers in the previous round. Big scalps for them. Knocka been out played here. Tralee a good side Knock the ball about well, some former Kerry and Cobh players in their ranks. Shoes and socks are soaked watching this, the things you do for a local game. :)

Bad result for the view, Arc are a mid table business league side they should be beating the likes of them, Ringmahon and Corinthians getting a seeing to as well by the looks of it, bad day for cork football, let’s pray for coachford to make another challenge

Not sure where you read that but anyway. You keep telling yourself these stories to make yourself feel better. As was mentioned previously the AUL will help clubs out with fixtures where they can, they have done plenty favours for north side teams down through the years btw. Common sense usually prevails in these situations but is something alien to you.

A bad line of results for Cork teams as a whole in the Munster Junior Today. FairPlay to Arc Rovers regardless of the opposition. That game went ahead on grass too which makes it a bit mad considering the rain that fell all week. Best of luck to Grattan tomorrow also..
