One in Galway last Tuesday night.I was about to go for a run when i seen one mean looking cloud over head.It failed to live up to its billing though,only a few rumbles and sheet lightning.

I must admit I thought Mary Harney had fallen out of bed though.

To bring this back on topic there was a nice loud blast of thunder over Dublin City center at lunch time, well that or Mary Hearney had to skip lunch and her tummy was rumbling :)

Bloody hell mate!! Mary Harney falling out of bed would cause a seismic event of epic proportions, never mind creating sounds reminiscent of thunder.:eek: I suppose a Mary Harney f*rt would represent a bolt of lightning!!:D

Friday 6th November at 8:00pm. Only saw a flash of sheet lightning. On Tuesday, there was thunder at 1:00 in the afternoon.

There was a total of nine thunder days in Westport this year!!:eek::D

Thunder day no.10 hit Westport this evening. The rumblers struck between 7:30 and 7:45 and it was loud enough. Wolfie, the thunder expert of Glasnevin would be pleased with that!!:D

More thunder today in Castlebar at lunchtime. Getting loads of it lately. Four thunder days in November, which equates July.:D

Thunder Day 12 and 13 all rolled into one!!:eek::D Began about 11:50 and crossed the midnight treshold. Wolfie should be impressed with that!!:D

Not that I was awake, but I was duly informed that there was thunder at 6:30am this morning. 22 days left in 2009, what odds are there of the Thunder Days hitting the magical 15 mark??:D

Nearly one third of 2010 gone and not a rumble of thunder to be heard nor a flash of lightning to be seen.

2010 was a quiet year for thunder. There was thunder on the 14th and 15th July and again on Tuesday 5th October (plus thunder in Derbyshire on 12th August) and heard no more since. Looking forward immensly to the next thunderstorm.

Disappointing year on the thunder scale; 21st April, 24th August, 13th December and 31st December, and I didn't even hear the thunder on the latter two dates. I saw lightning though on the latter two and also on the early hours of the morning of 19th August over France while flying home from Ibiza.

I observed my first bit of lightning of the year yesterday evening with three flashes out in the country. No thunder though.

Great thunderstorm (and water spout) in Bray on Saturday the 14th. Easily the best thunderstorm I've seen in this country.
