The last fixture before the mid-season break promises to be one of the most consequential - win, and we could potentially move up to seventh, placing some distance between ourselves and the foot of the table, however defeat could see us propping up the league for at least a fortnight. Aside from Kelliher, we appear to be at full strength for the encounter, with Dan returning from suspension, which gives management more tactical flexibility. As ever, however, scoring remains the paramount concern this season, and we may very need at least two goals on the night for three points to be secured. Longford have been in very respectable form recently, with a win and two draws in their last five games, so a maximum return tomorrow certainly can't be taken for granted.
Had hoped to make by Kerry FC debut tomorrow but not to be!
For us , our home form has been ok, away though very poor, couple of draws and few heavy beatings including last week.
1 point between the bottom 4 and then 5 to UCD. I expect UCD to beat Athlone and be on the coattails of Wexford for the playoff place. Bray to beat FH, so a win for either side in Mounthawk and get to 17 points and your looking up. But I fear for us on the road so if we come out of Tralee with a point I'd be happy.

Good to have Dan back as we struggled up top last week. Can see a tight game but with Kerry in decent form and Longford out of sorts I'm going for a 2 -1 home win.
Hopefully a crowd of 700 plus is achievable.

Im really looking forward to this game tonight. In Healy's first game in charge vs Wexford, the really should have had the game done and dusted by half time. We were much the better side last week away vs Dundalk for 60 minutes and only for a Fluke Goal on the stroke of half time (no way in the world Gaxha meant that), nobody would have complained if we picked up a point at least from the home side.
What I have seen is Healy's influence on the team, the way they are playing is much better to watch and the more time he is going to have, I am very optimistic, starting tonight.
Whilst we don't have a clinical goalscorer, I think with Adams regaining his place adds that quality, and with Dan back I can see us getting those 2 goals. Longford have been doing okay up until their last game. There isn't a team that is ever guaranteed a win in this division.
Im going for a 2-0 Home Win and to close the gap to Wexford who occupy 5th.
A good 3 points, not vintage but very comfortable all the same. Probably would have liked to see us push on a bit more after going 2 up, but Healy clearly trying to get the team to retain the ball better and used the opportunity to pass around the back and get midfield to take the ball out.
One thing noticeable though was how high up the wing backs played, in particular Teahan in the first half. It did leave McQueen a bit exposed down the left at times, but certainly shows the attacking mindset.
Disciple needs to be sorted out - we do love to pick up needless cards. Lost count tonight again.
Disappointing news on Kelliher, tough break for him this year after such a strong season last year. Hopefully he comes back stronger from it next season - wish him well in his recovery.
