Report on the game at the RSC last night

Assistant referee Gary Howlett had his flag raised but referee Anthony Buttimer overruled his assistant and, to howls of protest from the Bohemians players and mentors, awarded the goal.

Such was the level of dissention in the immediate aftermath, Bohemians assistant manager Gary Howlett was shown a red-card by the referee and sent to the stand.

Spot the deliberate / we care about Irish Football (yeah right!) mistake

No wonder he had to overrule the decision. He'd have to question the judgement of someone combining the roles of Bohs assistant manager and assistant referee.:p

Same excerpt from the Times today. Still in shock (good shock though) over the result!
