Delighted to see Robbie scoring at last.:) I think it's been 4 months since he found the net (that last minute equaliser against Waterford in the League Cup). Now if we only could get some sort of a run going. Anyone got details on how the game went?

Three Limerick fans made it one from Dublin (gspain) and myself and Lim till i die. At the start of the game there was 37 ppl in the ground but when a 5 a side finished it rose to about 50ish.
Mooney 6 had nothing to do. Kickouts were poor as usual
Wolfe 5 made his usual errors but overall good, needed a full 90 mins of pushing from us though.
Tobin 7 solid
Finni 7 Solid for most took his goal well.
Buckley 8 best game yet.
Keating 5 quite game
Donnellen 6 started well but faided and got cought offside over 20 times
McGrath 7 great game
Barrett 7 grat game but got tired mid way tru the second half
Kelliher 7 ran all night and got a great goal
Nolan 5 started well but faided after 20 mins. got cought in pos a lot.
Jones for Nolan 7 did more in 5 mins (you know the rest)
Subs not used :Guiren, Healy, Costello and Burke.

Were we good value for the win or did we struggle through it?

A mixed bag really but we played well.
Better side for the first half should have gone in 2 or 3 to the good at least. Again missed a couple of sitters in the 2nd half but game was heading for 1-0 and Monaghan never threatened. 10 minutes to go Doyle headed in a corner unchallenged and It looked like we'd blown it. I didn't even sense a great deal of urgency to win a game we should have won in a canter but Paul Finucane did win it in the 88th minute heading in a corner.
Agree with ratings except I thought Robbie was worth a 9. Thight he played very well and was always a real threat.

Does that mean i get all the credit? :D I'm delighted. He needed that and we did too. 3 points against Athlone and take it from there.
Maybe we should try to play all our games away from home.

Ah but does that mean that if and when Jamie Nolan scores next it's all down to me? ;)
