Late Wexford equaliser secured Wexford a share of the points in Ferrycarrig tonight, but the home side may feel that they should have been able to put the game to bed before then. Wexford started with the same team that began against Longford and went with Paul, James, Robbie, Dean, Mikie, Darragh, Calum, Conor, Kaylem, Ryan K and Ryan B. Despite the four goals, the game was a bit of a curate’s egg with some good moments and lengthy periods of undistinguished play. After Calum Flynn had a shot blocked inside the Harps area, best early chance fell to Harps on eight minutes when Paul Martin got the merest of touches to deflect a Harps effort onto his own crossbar. Game continued to have a sparkly start as, on 12 minutes, Calum Flynn delivered a class low cross across the Harps area, and Mikie Rowe was on hand at the far post to knock it home on the stretch. 1-0 to Wexford. Game then entered into a lull as it was twenty-nine minutes before another decent chance was created, when Martin spread himself to deny Lomboto of Harps in a one-on-one. Game meandered then in a mediocre manner to half-time. 1-0 to Wexford.
