Chelsea are Premiership Champs!
Although it's only September and the season is only 7 games old, Chelsea are clear of the pack and not looking like they will be caught. Accordingly, Paddy Power have declared the title race over by paying out on single bets on Chelsea to win the Premiership!

Must be a good way of getting new customers as they've been doing this for years.

also, effectively stops them losing any more money on that bet as you can no longer bet on chelsea to win the league. Even though the odds were very short you could of had a few 'big' punters thinking they were buying money.

Yeah but loads of big punters had huge sums on them. I know one bloke who's getting married next year put €2,000 on them (his usual bet is €10/20)

PP are dead right though. They're going to have to pay out anyway so why not get the publicity.
