a majority of sligo rovers players have played and been coached(brilliantly i might add) at merville :D :D how many players go on 4m calry into the first team :confused: :confused:

just cos he went to middleborough doesnt make him any better of a player than any of the lads that are at the club now !

Gavin Dykes , Stephen Rooney went to England on trials if I not mistaken.

Have to agree with you. Why would some one want to go to England and play for some league 2 club when they have a chance to play European football with an Irish club? I'm sure the money is better in Ireland then some of those English clubs too

Great Stuff Lads, entertainment as always:D
No Trumpet Blowing, but Merville is a current Base for Sligo Leitrim U15s, which feature a couple of Calry Lads I believe!:eek: Twelve Clubs in total are represented, coached by the Merville Coaches IN THIER SPARE TIME!:ball:
So proceeds from such events as above really do have an effect across the region:) , with the planned proceeds of tonight going to buy some sand to keep the place playable!
That one for the kids thread! As for rovers, quite a few ex Merville Players are currently at the showgies, at u18, u21 and senior, which is why I am on here!;)
