Pike must be playing behind closed doors each week. You need to look at who's managing the Oscar Traynor to find out why that panel was chosen. It explains it.

You will not see any pike player on the o/t and it is nothing to do with the o/t manager if he had his way he would have at least 4 on his panel...the way fixtures man in LDMC treated pike last season, can you blame them for not being "available"

No maybe not, but still the top goalscorer in the Prem League, ahead of Robert Earls, Jason O'Connor, Mike Behan just to name a few!!!!
He should surely be in it on merit??

That is true but needer is robbie coombs or ben spicer..anthony scored 25 last season and has 24 got this season so far so why not give him a chance ..i see carew park have 6 on the panel i wonder why that is.....

totally agree with you but my original point was he isnt aswell known as the 1s you named and thats what counts for the OT im afraid.Brenadan Hughes is in it cos of his name ive seen him this year with the view and his being rubbish.

Its all politics and thats whats costing the LDL from not winning the comp every year. Why not get in a manager that will pick the strongest team from the league and pick from all the teams in the leagues. When they do that, then give the players some incentive for playing.

It depends on what style of play no? I think he could play well along side Jason O'Connor but so could the other UL striker Jason Sheehan, former Wembley player as could many other strikers in Limerick but on form he should be in there.

there are a lot of players out there who don't care about the OT. At least Reddan has people picked who want to play. Also he has picked two panels this years for the two matches and have won both games, not a bad result.
Anyway , do anybody know who Limerick have got in the next round and when is it on ?

That oscar traynor squad is picked in rashers, its a joke. How can the manager of it be the manager of a team. How can he get around to the games to see whose playing well or not. Its a farce and thats why its treated as such. Alot of the players in town are hoping that they don't get picked for it, its a sad fact.

i think no matter who the manager is hes going to be critizised, there are alot of good players in town, let alone having to be loyal to the players closesed to him, also isnt it a good bargining tool to sign players,so i agree it should be done by a nuetral person.

Pike players are not allowed play in it due to FAI commitments, but if you asked the Pike players I can guarentee you at least half of the team would play if they were left by Pa Mul.

Interesting piece in the Limk Leader last night relating to the above..Normally our beloved paper like to sit on the fence, but even they had a pop at how it was run, its timing in relation to the junior season and how players in Limerick nowadays couldn't be ar*ed playing OT as it only serves as an inconvienience.

I agree the Leader piece was spot on. The team listed of players not in the squad would have beaten Sunday's team easily.
Also credit to the Leader for keeping stats of all Premier players.

didn't see the leader. but it sounds about right.
Most of the players who have played in it the last few years have had no interest. Is it better to get a team together who want to play or a team who are briliant but could not be arsed.
The manager has a tough job. He should not be a manager of another club and there should be some trials. Surley you cannot pick 16 without knowing how many players are playing well etc.
I know a player who has played on this and was not even training with his own team and was not fit. makes you wonder.

can any pike lads out there confirm the latest story going around that pa Mul will not be the Pike manager by the end of this week...a major fall out with the pike committee about back room staff
