Ipswich Town have signed Jaden Philogene from Aston Villa. The 22-year-old winger has committed to a four-and-a-half-year contract at Portman Road. Philogene began his career at Aston Villa where he had loan spells at Stoke City and Cardiff City before a permanent move to Hull City in 2023. During his time with the Tigers, Philogene scored 12 goals in 32 league matches. In July 2024, Philogene returned to Aston Villa and made 11 Premier League appearances. He has represented England at the U21 level, earning seven caps and scoring three goals. At Ipswich, he will reunite with former England U21 teammates Liam Delap and Omari Hutchinson. Speaking about his move, Philogene was eager to get started with his new team. “I’m excited to be here, and I know there are great players in the squad. I just want to play as much as possible. As a player, I like to dribble, link up play, and provide goals and assists. I’m looking forward to it.”
