The match finished 4-1 to City....
Goalscorers: Jamie Nolan (x2), David O'Sullivan and Eddie O'Driscoll.....The lads only need a point from the Cobh game next week to win the league!

Have we a result for this one?
Cork City 2, Cobh Ramblers 3 AET.
Not an bad match, apart from the result. About 100 people turned up to see the match. Jamie Nolan got both city goals, if my memory serves me correctly!

Yes. He's only 16 or 17 but he's already training with the senior squad. I wouldn't be surprised if he made his full debut this season. Also look out for Kevin Murray (a classy centre half).

What's the point in City poaching Youth players from all the MSL underage clubs if they are still going to be playing in the MSL youth leauge. All that happens is that Young players don't play a competitive game for the 2 years they are with city youths as there is not another decent team in the MSL going to give them a game. They then get a culture shock when they graduate to the senior ranks and actually play teams that can give them a game.Young players would be better off staying with their local clubs playing in a competitive leauge and if they are good enough they will be spotted.(ie Mulconroy)

nolan is he a prospect for the future? Yeah, he probabley is a good prospect. He is an excellent goalscorer but I feel that he needs to work on his all-round game.

1st of all, at least they are on City's books.
2nd, they can be coached by better coaches (that have their UEFA Grade A Badges ;) )
3rd There is a national youth cup, which City won the year before last

pity they didn't have a clause inserted in his contract to prevent him playing ;)
anyway, last night the youths gained some measure of revenge with a 4-0 win over ramblers in bishopstown
