Limerick FC should never have left Rossi go, he was far better than any of our wingers this season but when the manager is an idiot (to be polite about it) and doesn't like you then it means...bye bye.
Best of luck to Rossi though, I hope he has a great season.
anyone know thursday nights fixtures for the premier or even sunday's

AAUUN 2 San Pablo 2
No Paul Harman on the score sheet.
He was last spotted cycling the Golden Gate bridge on a top of the range high tech ,Teck mountain bike, heading North back through Canada to Limerick for the start of Fairview's Season.
Rumour has it he got ripped off by some Louth Del Boy!
Hopefully he will return for this sundays game.
Soccer Fan!!

Pike and Balla Sunday.
should be a good game , pity it is being played in the pit that is 'bateman park'. Pikes thoroughbreds shouldn't have to play in those conditions!:)

any news on the other matches.?
Saw some of the Carew v pike match.
have a case of whiplash this morning.
carew had 1 player, 1 manager & 1 supporter sent off.
Pike had looked for match off. Great duel between JOC & Phelan. tough but fair enough. Both gave as good as they got. Ref played nearly 7 mins extra time.Ref took some abuse from the carew crew, thought he did ok.

carew supporter was sent off for trying to attack one of the pike players, carews discipline problem seems to be under control this year, that team is going places alright! :D Roll on the hoops

any scorers from these games?
Pike's scorer was Dave Morris and it came from the only decent bit of football played in a poor but tightly contested game. Go on the hoops!!!!

any reports on the weekend matches, any truth in the rumour that there have been objections lodged againist fairview over the signing of the ex-loi player..?

word on the wind is that there is some problem with all the ex-loi players being registered correctly. heard from a good source that mungret have objected.

all the teams that fairview have played so far, hill celtic, granville and mungret are supposed to have objected because fairview failed to get the ex-limerick players transfered, they got the release and they signed but there is no transfer

that would be funny, but the LDMC would probably wave a wand and leave everything in place.
what we the LDMC know about doing things right !!

Rule 10 of LDLC Junior and Youth Rules for all Local Competitions.
"Senior players returning to LDL must be transferred back with letter of clearance form their club and also cancellation of registration form, i.e. FAI National League or other leagues. Please note a transfer and a release are one of the same."
It appears some people were of the opinion that these players needed a transfer as well as a release. They don't. I also have been told that only Hill Celtic have objected, not too sure about Mungret and definitely know that Granville have not objected.
Well that puts that rumour to bed
Whose playing tonight in the Premier?

Was at the Pike match. Decent game. Brendy Hughes scored two fine goals for the view, the second one from a great through ball by Gary Hannon.
It was worth the admission to hear Chalkie rantng like a loon when Lynch screwed up for Pikes second.(he could have made an attempt to catch the cross, but Alan Finnucane was left run the entire lenght o0f the pitch practically to cross it).
Both sides will get stronger, and the seasons beginning to hot up nicely.
What about Granville beating Balla..... :o :o

Ya good game 2 excellent goals from huges well worked both of them involving 4 or 5 View players..Pike were all over the shop anytime Fairview kept the ball on the floor although i suppose a draw was fair enough considering they were behind twice .Thought Lynch was very suspect for Pikes second even though it was a good header by Morris

I agree both teams will get stronger, pike are still getting players back from injuries and holidays so will be alot stronger in the coming months. Heard yesterday evening that Alan Barry has signed for them.
