Started this thread on the Pats board, just copying it here...

----

Ok you win a competition and the prize is you can get to go to any 3 football games you want. The games have to be actual (i.e. Not Juventus v Pats) and they have to be regular league games (not Cup, internationals, europe or anything else).

Who do you pick?

Myself I pick;

Boca Juniors v River Plate (in La Bombanera)
Barcelona v Real Madrid (in Nou Camp) *
Milan v Inter

*Just got tickets for this game btw...

Rosenborg-Tromso
a league game in the Pacific
a league game in Mongolia

and I'm being sincere here. Those who know me a bit or who read earlier posts will know I'm not joking. Much more interesting to discover new atmospheres, leagues and teams than seeing once another Liverpool-Man U.

Out of interest where did you get the Barca tickets from?

Also, any idea of how to get tix for a River Plate Game. They play Boca next month at home.

Cheers,

Jnr

Been to Barcelona a couple of times for a game and my girlfriend bought me membership for an xmas present. All members can buy tickets in advance on the net (http://www.fcbarcelona.com/eng/noticias/noticias/n04091410.shtml) so when they went on sale last week, I got them... Didn’t think I would tbh. Another Pats fan (bobthe builder...) did the same and now 4 of us are heading over. Its sold out now.

Bloke on the Pats board was in Buenos Aires last year and went to the Boca - River Copa Libertadores game. He said it was sold out but got tickets on the night from a tout. Face value was €3-12 and they piad €7 for a terrace ticket and €30 for a stand ticket.

How much for flights/accom for your trip to Buenos Aires? How long you going for?

Old Firm - the reason players play and referees referee, according to a commentator
World Cup Final (doesn't matter who's playing - just to be at THE final)
Champion's League Final - see above

Don't believe the hype. I kow a good few that've been to the Rome derby. Loads that've been to Glasgow's and I'm sure if you had the money the Belgrade won wouldn't be too hard either. The Glasgow derby is fairly easy to get to tbh...
