Care to elaborate... ? :confused:

The whole on bended knee to Roy Keane thing left a really sour taste in the mouth. I think Brian Kerr is a pompous ar$e and the vast majority of the "fans" at Lansdowne Road these days are barstool populating morons. I just don't like what the team represents anymore and I can't relate to them or alot (not all) of the fans in any way. "Hate" is maybe too strong a word for my feelings about the Republic but I have absolutely no enthusiasm for them :ball:

Bit late getting back but here goes...

No offence but I generally find their fans to be incredibly ignorant and it's the only ground in the first division where you get chav-tastic fellas of all ages and sizes giving intimidation. (Galway and Cobh try but that's just not very intimidating :p ) Also, there were lots of incidents between the clubs in the past, the nadir probably coming at Oriel in the early 90's. Without going into detail, it involved Limerick fans in a pen and bags of pi$$.

So basically it comes down to most Dundalk fans being the scum of the earth :)

Don't particularly hate Cork teams, but think the arrogance of some of the fans is pushing me that way, all that "real capital" inferiority complex stuff, plus the complete waste of time that was the City of Culture "sure we're doin them a favour by having it in Cork bi!"

NY Yankees, Chelsea, Real Madrid - can't stand teams who just buy success.

Kilkenny anything

Leinster rugby - populated by the most snobbish section of Irish society - manifests itself in the spice boys mentality of the team - look great on paper and then implode on the pitch!

Dublin Gaelic footballers (bandwagon)

International soccer team. I hate them for making me not care anymore. When I was younger I got caught up in all the hype and excitement and the current team and the FAI have ruined that forever for me, I wouldn't cross the road to watch them now!

only noticed this now.

Big rivalry back in the 70's/80's. 77 Cup final , 80 title race and we were 2 of the top 3 teams in the country in the early 80's. also because we didn't have a home win over Dundalk from 1979-1994 and an away win from 1980-1990.

There was also a little incident back in 1991 (may have the year wrong here) with 15 minutes to go and bottom of the table Limerick drawing 1-1 at top of the table Dundalk and severe pressure from the manager caused the referee to abandon the game (fog hadn't got any worse but dundalk were never going to score). The league subsequently set a precedent by ordering a replay despite in all 9 previous cases where scores were level in abandoned games in the 2nd half the result was allowed to stand including games that affected the title race and re-election. I know I did the research. Long in the tooth Cork City fans may recall a game in turners Cross where they led dundalk 1-0 in the 2nd half and again the game was called abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch and Dundalk subsequently won the replay and the title from Cork.

england's football/rugby team – Are we including international sides?
That doesn't necessarily go without saying (I quite like the cricket team) but I don't like their rugby team because the players they're a bunch of arrogant tw@ts and the football team because their fans are a bunch of arrogant tw@ts!

I hate Juventus, big arrogant club who unsettle players and there is the whole drugs scandal. If there is won club I could wish into oblivion it would be them.

Don't like Real Madrid too much, again poor attitude when it comes to buying/unsettling players, prefer Atletico.

hate's a strong word but:

Football:
Shels, Shamrock Rovers and Bohs
Rangers and Celtic (the bigotry, both as bad as each other)
Man Utd, Everton (childhood Liverpool fan)
Chelsea (cocky as hell)
MK Dons (do i need a reason)
Real Madrid (all hype, no substance)
West Ham (a few of their 'fans' nearly thrashed a bar i used to work in)

International teams: England, Greece, Switzerland, France and Israel

GAA:
Dublin (had a lot of pleasure in seeing them lose to Mayo)
Kerry (knocked out Longford and my mum's county Armagh this year)

F1:
Jenson Button (one win in F1, and the hype is unbearable!)

In club football the entire EL other than Rovers (obviously) & Harps i pretty much dislike to one degree or another, in 'other' football i seriously dislike Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, Swansea, Juventus, Real Madrid, Djurgarden, not forgetting Aston Villa who i hate with a passion, Bayern Munich & All things Turkish! In junior footie Verona (LSL)

I despise all GAA teams completely so it would be unfair to single one out, though i'll do it anyway, Thomas Davis (W**kers)!
