A brief overview for those who weren't there. Schumi, Bald Student, John83 and myself met him in the Sports Centre for a small chat. We'll have A3 colour posters. We're going to lash them up every day to fight the tide that will sweep them away. We'll also drop some fliers around which he's also printing up. The posters look fairly good. We'll also set up a table to sell tickets on the campus. 10 Euro for Students and 15 for adults. The tickets are a good professional job done up by the league. 250 school boy tickets have also gone out to Derry and Mt. Merrion. Tickets will be available in the Sports Centre and at my request Maccer will ssee if the SU will flog them but is not hopeful. We won't be going for advertising in the locality. Not enough time or manpower. Our target is 1,500 from the game. Derry hope to bring 300-400 but we're not too hopeful. Maccer was enthusiastic is not sceptical due to the battle hardening of capaigning for the club before which has crushed the spirit of all of you. My urge to you is to also hassle friends and family as much as possible and get them to do the same. I've got 4 non regulars to commit to the game so far with more in the pipeline.

Are these the posters I did up or are they ones Maccer'd done?Originally posted by Poor StudentWe'll have A3 colour posters.
Excellent. Very pleased to hear that.Originally posted by Poor Student250 school boy tickets have also gone out to Derry and Mt. Merrion.
Pity, if understandable. If there are any posters over, people should make an effort to take even five each and see if they can get them up anywhere. I'll see if the Sherros can get one up in my old school (little Sherro goes there now). The shop in Foxrock village might put one up. Can ask Shakespeare the rules on postering in the locality. A3 may be a bit more awkward with regards shops, etc. though.Originally posted by Poor StudentWe won't be going for advertising in the locality. Not enough time or manpower.
Yeah, I've got a few who're coming down as well who rarely if ever go to games.Originally posted by Poor StudentMy urge to you is to also hassle friends and family as much as possible and get them to do the same. I've got 4 non regulars to commit to the game so far with more in the pipeline. -

Who are the Sherros? You're welcome to try Pineapple, it's just Maccer won't be bothered.Originally posted by pineapple stuPity, if understandable. PS,
The schoolboy tickets you mention, do you know if they are going to be sold by DCFC in Derry or just available on the night.
Any word on how/when the rest of the tickets for the away support going on saleComment

Your schoolboy tickets have gone up to you from what I gathered from Maccer. I think there's 250 schoolboy tickets in total. 5 Euro each. I don't know when yours are going on sale but he sort of put it that you had lowered your figure of what you would sell.Originally posted by MariborPS,

Well it looks like a guaranteed 4 figure crowd then and who knows Belfield full for the first time in a long time.Comment

There's a temporary stand (temporary in meaning its not a proper stand and should be taken down but we probably won't be arsed to) being put up alongside the main stand to stretch it out over the pitch. I'm not sure what exactly you consider a full house. I think there's 2k tickets available. Our best hopes are 1,500 to come but as Maccer himself said I wouldn't be shocked by less but would be disappointed. There's a press conference tomorrow in the Sports Centre.Comment

Am I gonna have to purchase a ticket? Where? When? If I get my bro to get me a student one on campus, will I be asked for my student card on the way in (yeah it's gold & I rubbed the date of birth off back in '97)?"I always likened him to a Rolls Royce. You just used him once a week & he'd be flawless"

Lads,
If somebody is willing to do it with me I'll hit the locality on Sunday afternoon. I know of at least one UCD supporter who posts here and lives in Mt Merrion so it'd be worth a quick shot. Even 10-15 between there and Stillorgan could have some impact.
Also if we could get quite literally 1 poster up in each of Oatlands and Benildus. It could have some impact. I'm away John83 has some connections in the latter so if he took one and asked it couldn't do any harm. The worst they'll say is no, and it's not that far away.Check out my new sports blog http://www.action81.comComment

Can't help, work on Sunday. Colie send your brother around to the desk on Friday near the blog and just tell him to say Colie sent him. There shouldn't be a problem with having a student ticket.Comment

I heard that 330 temporary seats are going in for the match.....Comment

That's right but looking at where they're to go the view might not be great. I'll head down during the week to see once they're up.Originally posted by MariborI heard that 330 temporary seats are going in for the match.
Also, Maccer said that it's not pay extra into the stand where as the press release I have says that it is.
