good game, think cork just had too much, maybe the kilkenny game took a bit too much out of galway.
cork have won the championship without producing anything too spectacular.

Lovely result. First part of my 20/1 double is complete. Second part to follow in two weeks time when the Kingdom beat Tyrone. :D

Fair play to Cork ,great team but just as i predicted for Galway can never clear the last fence unless they are under 18.

In the region of a thousand, according to some reports.
Apparently the GAA are looking into what happened as there was clusters of empty seats, which is unusual.
We were jammed into the Hill.
Great day though.
Jerry O'Connor is a legend!
He's in good company with that squad. :)
Lads nobody has a monopoly on sunshine supporters, especially in GAA.
Kildare and Dublin are the only counties you can rely on to bring a decent crowd during lean times and even they see a surge in demand as the bigger games come along.
Obviously the effect isn't as visually evident with Dublin as they tend to bring large crowds anyway but trust me demand rockets whenever the Dubs are on anything approaching a roll.
kildare and dublin never have to travel much.remember when Dublin played Kerry in Thurles and a half empty terrace?????and all the moaning about traffic for their first venture outside the pale in god knows how long??they rarely play games outside dublin never mind their provence.we could all pack (or "bring a decent crowd to")our home town stadiums for a championship game.

Well said!
It's all well and good for the Dubs playing all their championship matches in their own backyard. This year Kerry won't have played a single game at home in the entire campaign.

I'll agree that Down will win the minors but Kerry will definitely win the senior. We're sick and tired down here of listening to the fact that Cork  are the last team to retain Sam!
