Some figures below following the league meetings held across the country during April & early May;
32% of leagues already playing a calendar season
27% have agreed to transition (Phased Approach between 2026 & 2028)
16% are undecided but have agreed to continue consulting with FAI & clubs
25% currently informing the FAI they won’t transition to a calendar season
12 of those 17 leagues wouldn’t meet the FAI to hear what an aligned registration period means!
FAI are trying to bully this through and it’s scandalous withheld funding for Kennedy Cup & Gaynor teams.
Threatening to withdraw safeguarding, Vetting, referees and potential support required for sport capital funding unless they agree to the calendar season they should be ashamed of their carry on.
The leagues should be allowed to choose their own calendar.
This years under 12s should be the first to move across as part of the FAI’ proposed new
Pathway the cork school boys league will continue as normal and run the under 12s in the traditional system ignoring the new pathway.
Their members do not want it.

No point having a vote if its going to happen anyway. If the majority voted against it it's still going to go ahead.

Who was meant to sign for Village this summer but went to Doolans Cow? I agree they have bein gutted with the four Cow lads heading back big big losses for them especially Jamie. Village will struggle big time now, any talk or any new signings for them? Knocka could be Coachford main contenders next season by all the talk.
How will they struggle. They got to AOH final 2 years ago without the shipping league players . 3 brilliant youngfellas are after signing and a keeper . No fair of village with 30 years why will that start struggling now

Shipping league players as if they were nobodys, the 3 Doolans Cow shipping league players were their 3 best players along with Zack at times. Kicked Village up a level. Jamie shipping league has a intermediate and LOI winners medal.
Who are the 3 brilliant players and keeper they signed?
Yes they got to a final which was lucky to be only 4-0 anybody with a brain watching it would tell you that. They will struggle for goals, the season you mentioned they only won 6 games from a possible 16, Only scoring 25 goals in the league . Jamie got 23 league goals himself last season cop on a small bit and he missed 4 league games. They will struggle for goals this season it's plain as day for all to see, goals win games end of discussion. As for the other shipping league players they might not be as good as Jamie or upto your standards but some very good players which they will miss. Village will always be Village they will give you a great game at home but for me as a nortside supporter they will go backwards from this season but time will tell.

Jamie an excellent player . Aaron also very good . They will be a miss . Your on about Zack at times ? He is villages player of the year and players player of the year . Why would them lads want to play in the shipping league again ? I don’t het it . No bottle clearly . Intermediate cup winner . Do some reacher again on that one .

Jamie is a classy player. Aaron Hennessy very good. Keegan good player. Murphy good Goalkeeper. Zack is very good player, he got tired last few weeks of the sesason to be fair he does some amount running. Sent off twice in games I seen also can loose the head. As for player of the year thats down to management i would of given it to Jamie for the season he had

There was an original player of the year trophy engraved that wasn’t given out because it looks bad giving an award to a player that’s leaving. They were cow players that gave a good year to Village, always training, always available to play, never injured and you’re on here having a dig. If the cow weren’t back they’d still be at Village now, so no need for the bitterness. If Glen Celtic were back we all know who Pa would be playing for. They’re his team and these lads are the same

So Zack was not meant to get player of the year? Original trophy engraved but got another made it presume? Jayus lads. Have to agree with you on that Pa would head back to the Glen Celtic there his club . Yeah they're Doolans Cow players shame they have gone back poor league poor opposition for them. They all played really well in the AUL to be fair so credit there. Not sure if Aulbuster is saying Jamie didn't win the intermediate cup but just to be sure I doubled checked on Avondales twitter account I can see he scored in the quarter final the year they won it in 2018.

I think he scored in the semi final as well. He didn’t play in the final so thats why another dig is being had against a man that got 40 odd goals this season.

Didn't play in the final at the Aviva is a right downer after scoring in the previous rounds. And now player of the year taken off him too because he's leaving, not sure what i would do in that situation. The best player that season is the best player whether he is leaving or not he probably should get the award. No bottle dig at him is laughable for all he has achieved in football

You clearly have no idea what you’re on about . On about players training all the time and players would not be with village had other clubs being there . Pa was up In Glenthorn and glen still had a team . I’d say if Jamie trained for village 5 times it’s a lot . And I’m not knocking any of theses player they’re all very good . Jamie will score 100 goals next year in that bad league . Village will push on again some nice young players gone in there and a center half from Mary’s seniors .

Not sure if Jamie trained or not but you seem to know. Was it down to work or couldnt be bothered? Did the other doolans cow lads train? Short season for the business league Jamie will probably only get 30 goals lol. Poor league tho you are right, I dont see the catch playing in that league but each to their own. Can you give us any info on the young players gone in there? Youth is good to go woth the experience they already have. Centre half from Mary's sounds like a good signing if true. Village will be fine like i said in a previous post they always will be fine i dont think they will come second again tho but time will tell.

Lads, give it a rest, Jamie could have gotten AUL player of the year and it wouldn’t have been undeserved, the man was a goal machine, one of the best forwards I’ve ever seen play in our league, Craig and Aaron I think would both get a game for coachford from what I seen, brilliant players both, murph solid in between the stick, they gave a good year, their team came back, if there’s bitterness that’s disappointing to hear but if I had anything to do with village I’d be annoyed with what’s being posted here, seem to be burning bridges when there’s always a chance Doolans fold again, not going to get into it about trophies and names being taken off
Either way there was more than those 4 contributing to village this year who will still be there next, year I don’t think they’ll be anywhere near challenging, if they bring back the other gorta he’ll be a good start to rebuilding, said a few weeks back that they’re too old so signing young players is a good strategy to take for them

Jamie can’t train because of work, I’d excuse that, once the reason is genuine and the business is done on the pitch. I’m talking of the other players. Most of the signings they’ve made are from the shipping league and they’re good players. Zack had a great season, great player but he came from the same league that buster has a massive problem with, he’ll kick on and as you say village will be fine. Shipping league is weaker than it was when the cow were last there in my opinion

Ah we are all on this forum to debate. Village seem to be the topic today
Who did get AUL player of the year? Jamie, Aaron and Craig would get a game with Coachford i think aswell, shipping league players tho. You are right there that there's every chance Doolans Cow could be gone again in the next season or two. Not sure what you mean by names taken off trophies but I assume Jamie was getting Player of the year but management changed their mind.
Youth is a good strategy for the club they will learn alot for the older players. I seen their signing on Facebook good player left back. Signed again from the shipping league tho couldn't be any good players in that league by reading this forum.

Away from all the drama on here about the club I see that village are doing a charity fundraiser which is something positive for a change and fair play but I know I wouldn’t be able for that cycle I would barely be able to run on a pitch for five minutes haha as for next season looking forward to hopefully a more competitive premier division and as was said previously I reckon knocka could be the closest to coachford next season and a bit of pub talk for ye which id take with a pinch of salt but heard that adam lee from grattan might be making the switch to knocka as he’s not happy with the playstyle in grattan as he feels it doesn’t play to his strengths

I see on Facebook they have signed a few other players aslo, I'm not to familiar with those lads but they getting numbers up. Adam Lee would be a great signing for any club if you can get him fit, very good player can adapt his game to any football style of play.
