who are you and what is your obsession with this?unless your'e conall murtagh which i don't think you are coz i knew connall well and he's wouldn't be bitter about something like that.so the programme said he was released.that doesn't even necessarily mean the club wanted to release him.maybe he asked to be released which amounts to the same thing...he was released.

exactly, he would have to been released if he wanted to go to manchester to study and play soccer..

You are correct. Connall never wanted to make an issue of the reasons why he rejected the two-year offer - and had never any intention of doing so. So why did the article in the programme say that the Club had released him - implying that the decision was the Club's? It is not difficult to print the truth without being misleading and ambiguous. I just wish people would see the priority of honourability instead of attempting to destroy players' characters in this way.
