As mentioned in the main forum, Bray can most definitely be considered our bogey team, having failed to pick up so much as a single point in any of our previous five league encounters against The Seagulls, the sole First Division club we've played in successive seasons to which that still applies. Moreover, the Wicklow side enter this fixture on the back of three straight league wins, with Peter Grogan key to their revival, having netted in all those games, and of course Cristian Magerusan will be familiar to the Kerry defence, after his performance at a stormy Mounthawk Park earlier in the campaign. As for Kerry, for the first time Conor McCarthy has a virtually full strength squad from which to choose, though Friday may come a week too soon for Dolia. The game may suit the return of Stephen Healy to the starting line-up, and perhaps a back five similar to that employed against Treaty and Harps. In any event, a draw would be an excellent outcome ahead of Cork visiting tomorrow week.

The results against Bray have not been good. Hopefully there is a response from last week. Need a win to keep up with the playoff chasers.

Transpires Daniel Okwute is suspended, so at least one guaranteed change from last week.

5 straight defeats to one of the more average teams in the division - never in any game against us have Bray looked convincing either. The goal difference across the 5 games is 14-6 and I would hazard a guess that at least 8 of those Bray goals came from set pieces (including 2 earlier this season).

So it’s very simple - don’t concede from set pieces and we don’t lose this game!!!

Team line-up: Tuta - O'Connell, Spain (C), Williams, Kos - McCarthy, Teahan, Gleeson, McGrath - Amechi, Udeze. Dolia's on the bench, so would expect him to come on in the second half.

Poor tonight. Same as Athlone. Decent first half but lost control of the game in the second half. Poor subs again. What does Cian Brosnan bring. Gets loads of minutes and game pases him by. Must be unreal in training. Not the first time we conceded after substitutions. Cork City next! Need to see a huge improvement.

As poor a game I have seen since Kerry FC were formed - real lack of quality from both teams. Substitutions changed the game, Bray got it right with Margurson and Kerry got it horribly wrong with the switch on the left side that ultimately led to both goals. Neither team threatened throughout the game, especially down the flanks which adds to the frustration of Brays two goals coming from firstly poor communication (2 players marking one lad, with the Bray right back left in acres of space) and then the second giving the ball away cheaply again down our left side again.

I hope Kavanagh and Dolio are worth the wait as our lack of squad depth was exposed again tonight, especially in the final 3rd.. without Okwute and Kelliher (1st half) we simply offer little going forward - McGrath can’t do it on his own.

Pick the best players for city next week and fingers crossed!!!
