I was away for 10 days until yesterday and now I've noticed this "quick reply" thing at the bottom of every thread. When was this introduced and what is it's purpose? (other than the obvious)

I enabled it yesterday. The other purpose is the worship or our lord and master, the great Satan.

(Presumably. I didn't know there had to be another purpose. I can make another one up if you like?)

Well you could pretend that it's actually useful then ;)

Also I noticed URLs in sigs have become enabled too, previously they were just text, does this mean people will start adding links to obcenely large pics for their signatures - a personal bugbear of mine

Well you could pretend that it's actually useful then ;)I find it useful in that I don't have to load another page to post a simple reply. If you don't find it useful, don't use it. (I enabled it in prepraration for vB 3.5, which posts using AJAX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX), removing the need for a page refresh altogether.)

If someone /links/ to an image that is unacceptable, for whatever reason, it should be reported to me. If sigs are abused consistently, I'll disable it again.

Depends on what PSV stands for.

Don't confuse the nice moderator, Schumi! :)

However, I wouldn't mind seeing an AZ link to my RKC code, with an option for an NEC.

(Acronyms are so cool at making you sound like you're not talking rubbish! :) )
