Republic of Ireland under-21 manager Don Givens has fitness concerns over two of his possible starting line-up for Tuesday evening’s clash with France at Turners Cross.
Leicester City centre half Paddy McCarthy and right back Kevin Foley, of Luton Town, both sat out training on Monday.
McCarthy is suffering with an ankle problem and Foley is feeling the effects of a bang on the knee, with the former rated most likely to miss Tuesday’s game.
