I'm hoping to get some green smoke (not flares) for the France game to liven the atmosphere. The only place I know of that sells it online is tifo.it but you have to buy a lot of it and the shipping would be expensive. Are there any other places I could get some? I was thinking of joke shops, no?

Great idea..........Is there any law against bringing in even if it is not a 'flare'. You know they can be farely arsey about bringing things that they don't like into Lansdowne. ;)

Try that joke shop beside stephen's green shopping centre (if it's still there)
I had a look online and all i saw was a pack of 2 white smoke bombs for £1.50 on a UK site.
You could try make your own :)

Talk to the Cork City lads on FourFiveOne.net (http://www.fourfiveone.net/commandos.html)
They might be able to help.

Most of the EL supporters would get their stuff from Tifo.it afaik, I'm pretty sure you can get them in the joke shop, but it would be worth testing them first in case just a small trickle comes off them!!! :D

The ones used here (http://corkcityfc.ie/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=105) are TIFO as far as I know and they're lethal!
Nearly choked us!
Looked great though.

The Fai have told CCFC they are ilegal and are banned.

The first the FAI would know about it would be when they see plumes of smoke billowing over the packed North Terrace.

No it wouldn't, they regularly view this forum
They get a slight bit touchy when someone lights up one of those flares after a goal is scored, so i'd say letting off smoke would have an even worse reaction from them.

Not if they don't know who it is??? Hardly gonna throw out the whole North Terrace!!! :D

yeah id say they have someone monitoring this board because they were on the ball for the booing of the FAI when the ex CEO got fired.
Green smoke would be great though, along with green cards and some flares. The FAI would have a fit though.

during euro 2004 the portugese supporters ALL had scarfs with them which they held up during the national anthems... looked mighty impressive.... surely everyone has an Ireland scarf they could bring??

Yes, simple but very effective.
We need to publicise it though, make sure that people remember to bring one or buy one.

brian kerr, the fai, a national paper, national radio station etc. should make an appeal to all fans to get their hands on a scarf. anyone any contacts?

We still do though! :D

Not if you keep away from the small flare type ones.
if you get the big canisters, you can just set them off and place it on the ground as the smoke comes out of it. They then have no way of proving who set it off.

Log on to www.eircom.net/totalfootball where you can talk to Brian Kerr and Shay Given on Sunday the 4th and get Brian to encourage every fan to bring a scarf to the game...I will anyway

Is there any F.ie members in the Army or FCA or do you have friends in it, becasue the army issue smoke bombs are amazing!! The scarf thing is a good idea and we should sing there national anthem like we did in France 'for the craic'..

Nothing wrong with flags as such, it's flags in sticks that are banned.
For obvious reasons, they don't want everyone in the ground with a stick in their hand.
