As far as I can make out, Kilkenny in 1994-95 were the last (and quite possibly only) team not to win a home League game, so literally the last chance saloon for Kerry tomorrow!

That Kilkenny team's record in 94/95 takes a bit of heat of Kerry's results this season though Kerry are not being wiped out in any games in the 2nd half of the season so some progress for them in a way with more experience

That horrific Galway United team in 2011 did not win a home game but that was in the Premier Division, though they were that bad I would have been doubtful if they would have won many if any home games if they were in the First Division

Theres something thats telling me in the mid 90s we didnt win a home game all season. I will have to double check this.

Correct - and let us never speak of that year again!!
We did beat Bohs in Dalymount though.

What's happened at Athlone lately?

Four defeats in a row now, three of them against sides in the bottom half, with 15 goals conceded in that time.

From looking like a dark horse in the playoffs, they've almost become a waste of space there instead.

They’re a very odd set up,they beat Waterford away on the 1st of September and have only beaten Kerry since…

They’re on their 3rd head coach of the season I think at this stage aswell,4-1 flattered us a bit today but if you’re losing 4-1 to us you’re not in a good place!

Bray concede a 96th equaliser in Longford to kill their play off chances, sums their season up….

The Déise lads may have been toying with us - Coughlan and Parsons sprung for the final half hour.

Cork will be rubbing their hands looking at the total unravelling of some of the playoff sides right at the important end of their season

Finishes 1-1 in Mounthawk Park - so Galway, Bray and Wexford finish as the only sides against whom Kerry failed to pick up at least one draw over the course of the season.

It looks like no one wants that final play off spot after yesterday. Athlone's collapse in form is bizarre.
Waterford's form is poor going into play offs and expectations are low. They did make 11 changes for yesterday but still a fairly strong team finished the game so drawing at Kerry isn't good enough.

Very professional performance from Galway at the MF...Treaty cant be faulted for effort but Galway in second gear all game.Decent crowd in about 800 or more.
